Prior to moving to Greensboro with her husband Paul and their children, she and the family lived in Buffalo, NY. Nine years ago, they moved to Greensboro, NC. Sandie enjoyed teaching high School at GTCC Middle College where she thrived in helping students reach beyond what they thought that they could do. Outside of her family and friends, Sandie's passion for teaching brought her the greatest joy in her life as helping others was her greatest reward.

Sandie was actively involved in many clubs including the Adam's Farm Women's Club, cooking club and the Junior League of Greensboro. Sandie is survived by her husband, Paul and children, Meagan and Jonathan. Also surviving are her loving parents, Tom and Jane Lasher; her brother, John and children, Hannah, Gabby, Jack, and sister, Denise (Alec Campbell) and their children, Sam and Emma. (836-2935). FLIERL-Donald William 89, of Ashville, OH, passed away on December 27, 2007. His wife of 65 years, Elinor, died in January of this year. He is survived by his sons Weston and Glenn (Norma); three children. grandchildren Donald and three grandand his sister Doris (deceased) were the children Harrington and Matilda Flier (deceased) and grew up in Buffalo.

He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the meteorology air corps and later in the reconstruction effort after the war. He was a chemistry major at Oberlin College where he met Elinor, a music major, and they continued to be involved in music, singing in the choirs at Holy Trinity in Buffalo and Lutheran churches in Ohio. As a chemist he worked for DuPont for over 30 years, beginning in the Buffalo polymer plant where he was part of the group developed Mylar. He then transferred to Circleville where the first Mylar plant was located and continued to work there until his retirement. He was involved in many civic organizations serving on the Ashville, OH planning and zoning boards.
