Job Summary

For 50 years, Dallas College Foundation (DCF) has worked closelywith Dallas College (DC) to channel the power of philanthropy toadvance DC’s mission. DCF’s philanthropic partners provide thecollaboration and investment that DC needs to reach its highestpotential. As the Foundation looks toward historic endeavors in thecoming years, we seek to optimize our team.
The Development Team is the engine of the Foundation, activelyengaging with prospective and current donors to propel forward thestrategic vision of DC. The Manager, Data & Technology willserve as a key resource to the Development Team and the Sr.Director of Development in ensuring high-quality execution of allinternal team functions of the Development Team, as outlined indetail in the description below. The Manager, Data & Technologywill report to the Senior Director, Development. Like all DCFemployees, this individual is a keeper of the DCF culture ofphilanthropy.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus three to five years of related workexperience preferred.
• Official transcripts are required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in database administration, preferablyRaiser's Edge, and other Blackbaud solutions (i.e. NetCommunity,Online Express, ResearchPoint PaperSave, document imaging - dataenrichment, and AwardManagement).
• Must have a valid driver’s license for off-site travel.

• Work hours may extend beyond the typical eight hours,Monday-Friday, workday, including weekends and holidays to provideimmediate support in exceptional cases.
• Potential for some hybrid work.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the Foundation database expert for the Raiser’s Edgedonor database, ensuring accurate and consistent informationmanagement and process improvement.
Collaborate with Senior Director, Development in the creation andimplementation of database best practices and standards, policies,and procedures relevant to donor cultivation, stewardship andfundraising activities and database utilization.
• Responsible for best practice gifts processing, with assistancefrom Assistant Director, Development Supports as needed. This mayinclude training and troubleshooting with colleagues.
• Oversee training curriculum for new and existing Raiser’s Edgeusers, lead team trainings, workshops, and outreach.
• Train users on the functionality, standards, and proper use ofthe database to ensure that team members are able to use databaseassets and contribute to their development.
• Maintain DCF databases and activate them as a valuable Foundationasset.
• Maintain detailed documentation of internal business processesand workflows related to the database and other supportapplications and ensuring adherence to business rules.
• Support the data needs of the Foundation and various campusunits, prepare lists, and generate ad-hoc and standard analytical,statical and financial reports to accurately, clearly, andeffectively present desired data.
• Assist in the preparation of internal and external benchmarkingsurveys, and financial, management, and summary reports.
• Maintain the structure of the database, including attributes,business rules, code tables, and other related functions, andensure successful and seamless integration, communication, andfeeds between the database and other support applications.
• Conduct routine and scheduled database integrity checks andmaintenance, and coordinate system upgrades, as released, withappropriate internal and external resources.
• Maintain confidentiality of database records and ensureinformation security procedures are in place.
• Oversee workflow in a time-sensitive environment with rigorousdemands and tight deadlines, and work collaboratively with team toensure the achievement of Foundation goals, objectives andpriorities.
• Perform a wide range of administrative and logical tasks tosupport the daily workflow of Foundation fundraising andinitiatives.
• Assist team members with basic operations and technologyneeds.
• Manage DCF data and prospect pipeline.
• Responsible for all data integrity and hygiene.
• Lead implementation of newly established portfolios via Raiser’sEdge system
• Manage future database use for fundraising activity and build andproduce reports and dashboards to help tell the data story.
• Support prospecting activity from the database, includingprospect segmentation and prioritization.
• Work to meet or exceed personal and team goals and metrics.
• Completes required Dallas College Professional

• Development training hours per academic year.
