How did Boruto lose his eye? ›

Boruto's first chapter started with a flash-forward showing the title character with a scar over one eye, naturally leading many fans to wonder what the explanation for the wound was. Unsurprisingly, it turns out that Boruto got his scar from Kawaki, but he did so while trying to save a person very dear to him.

Ryuto Uzumaki is Boruto's older brother. Unlike Boruto, Ryuto wants to become a ninja so he could join the Anbu and become Captain.

Sometime shortly after Kurama's demise, the tailed beast resurrected itself in Himawari, making the girl a jinchūriki herself, granting her access to the same powers and immense chakra reserves Naruto had before her.

Boruto's popularity took a sharp decline over time, with volume sales consistently dropping lower after the initial success. Two Blue Vortex rebranding didn't help, with sales of the new volumes even lower than the last of Naruto Next Generations.
