Whether you’re hosting a small group of friends, attending a potluck, or throwing a big shindig, these Super Bowl Party Recipes are guaranteed winners. With a combination of classics, family favorites, and picky-eater-approved recipes, your menu will definitely score a touchdown!
Every year we host a Super Bowl party with friends and family. Everyone arrives sporting their team’s colors and ready to munch, mingle, and cheer on their favorite team.
I look forward to our get-together every year because 1 – I love football, and 2, it is an opportunity to make some of my favorite recipes.
Before we start cooking, we need to prepare for the guests. To figure out how much of each recipe to make, we need to know:
- Adults: How many adults are visiting? For Superbowl parties, I plan to serve everyone small bites of each recipe, so if a recipe makes 6 servings, it should serve 12 small bites.
- Kids: These parties are usually family affairs, so I always like to make a note of how many kids are attending. Typically they require less food or will appreciate a kid-friendly recipe like mac and cheese.
- Are they bringing any food? As a host, you get to decide if you want guests to bring food or not. Either way is fine, it will just change how much food you need to make.
How To Host And Watch The Game
I’m a big football fan, but it can be hard to host and watch the game. In order to watch the game and host, you need to:
- Use a crockpot – this will help you cook recipes while you mingle with guests.
- Make food in advance – any food that you can prep will save you time and energy later! This could be chopping the ingredients for pasta salad or cooking the pasta.
- Pick quick recipes – ideally, they are ready in 30 minutes or less. Or, they require very minimal hands-on work.
I’ve said it before, and I’m sure I’ll say it again… A cook is only as good as their kitchen tools. It is so important to have the right tools and gadgets to make a recipe.
These are a couple of my favorites, many of which will appear in the recipes below.
- Instant Pot
- Crock Pot
- Mixing Bowls
- Strainer
- Cast Iron Skillet
- Non-Stick Skillet
- Air Fryer
- Spatula
