Entitled, "Honor thy ..." this image features my 96 and half year old mother and me during a recent trip to see her in Missouri ... where she was born on a farm and grew up. We would prefer to have her with/near us, though she is right where she wants to be to live out her days. I would note she was not all that keen taking a picture the day of our visit saying, "Well ... okay, but you know my hair hasn't been done because my hairdresser fell and broke her wrist!!" Candidly in my opinion, she's never looked more beautiful. ❤

Entitled, "Happy Anniversary" ... this image celebrates 47 years of "togetherness" today (44 years of marriage plus 3 years dating) with my lovely wife, Karen. You know, "... for better or worse, richer or poorer, in sickness and in health ... and so much more!"So what's the secret you ask ... in essence, the "Coin of the Realm?"The answer:unconditional love on one side of the coin and forgiveness on the other; and, I can attest there is no more valuable coin.

Entitled, "Majestic Monument Valley Monolith" this image was taken two days ago during the "golden hour" (just before sunset) from "John Wayne's Point" on the veranda of the View Hotel. Enough said; enjoy!

Please join my wife (Karen) and I in wishing our eldest son Sean a very happy 43rd birthday today! The photo (circa 1982) shows me holding Sean and the balsa wood rubber-band airplane I hand built as a gift for his first birthday. A voracious reader almost from birth, you are a deep thinker who is sharper-than-a-tack “data-whisperer” with the ability to break down and size up challenging and complex systems with ease. As if that wasn’t enough, you also are a creative, funny (sometimes irreverently so) writer, poet, artist and actor who just "happens" to be a loving husband and “girl-dad” three times over! You — my/our son — are a multifaceted diamond who shines most brightly when sharing (giving of) yourself with (to) others. The fact is you have flown much further and higher than that balsa wood airplane I built for you ever could. Your mother and I love you and we are so proud of you and life you have built with your lovely wife — the super glue of your family and the mother of our three beautifully fierce Austin, Texas grandgirls. Keep on soaring and keep on exploring; your possibilities are endless.

My wife Karen and I are pleased and excited to share our youngest son Ryan is running for a position on the Alexandria, Virginia School Board in a bid to bring his education policy expertise gained on a national stage to bear at the local level. Read on (below) to learn about him and his priorities for the school board ... and even support his campaign effort!! And, as his parents, we can personally assure you that a vote for him is a vote for "good" government and to strengthen Alexandria's future!! RyanReyna.com

My behind-the-scenes (BTS) image today is a "visual" shoutout to Robert Moore who served as the DP for the upcoming horror comedy movie, “The WeedHacker Massacre” as he prepared to film one of the many scenes.Shown in the background are the amazingly talented actress Bobbie Grace Ragsdale chatting with highly skilled movie director (... and all-around good guy),Jody Stelzig. The movie — which is the brainchild of Allen Danziger of “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” fame — is written and produced by the ever-creative Ray Spivey. Filming of the movie took place in the greater Austin, Texas area, just wrapped filming a few weeks ago.#weedhackermovie

What a special/fun day ... I had a chance to serve as a "sous chef" to my/our beloved granddaughter Mae ("Mae Mae" to me/us) during the design and build portion of her pinewood derby car project; and yes, I can assure you her car will be one of the fastest on the track. My/our two sons (Sean and Ryan may be "girl dads" ... but I get to be a "girl grand-dad" to five (that's right, five) fiercely and uniquely smart, talented and simply lovely young ladies ... and I couldn't be more proud of each of them!!!!!
