Cassie said she saw it a million times. Carly knew some of the songs, but not the story.

People born after the 90s typically haven't seen many 90s movies unless they have older siblings who had those movies on VHS.

Until Dinsey Plus, whatever their steaming service is called, didn't you literally have to go out and buy physical media of all their 80s-90s era movies because they were never aired on tv?
If it wasn't for VHS TV days in elementary school I would have never seen the little mermaid, or Beauty and the Beast or all that other sh*t either. The 60s era and before movies on the other hand were a different story, they'd play on tv

I never noticed, but I believe you're right. I never caught a Disney movie on cable TV. I'm old enough I went to see The Lion King in theaters, but I never watched Aladdin and the Little Mermaid until I was in my 20's and torrented them.

OP asked if it's possible. Lots of people didn't usually rent movies.

There was also this thing called rental stores. It was like a streaming service you had to physically walk to and pay to borrow a movie for a few days.

They probably never rented it and Disney used to just stop selling some movies on DVD for years saying they were in the "DIsney Vault" Toy Story on DVD was worth a fortune because you couldn't buy it in stores.

It's entirely possible. I am 102 and I have never seen "Gone With the Wind."
