Fresh Strawberry Lemonade by the Glass (2024)

It’s July 5, and Seattleites like myself know what that means: summer is finally here! Sure enough, the sun showed its ever-so-scarce face yesterday and, according to the forecast, might just stick around for awhile. Woo hoo!

So I thought I’d bid adieu to “June-uary” and usher in the official Seattle summer with a glass of the ideal easy summer sipper: strawberry lemonade.

But not just any strawberry lemonade. This is strawberry lemonade by the glass. Because, frankly, I don’t know about you, but when it comes to strawberry lemonade, I have no self control. The combination of fresh, tart lemon and sweet strawberries is pure kismet, but the calories from one heavenly glass are all I need at any one time.

So, like fresh-squeezed lemonade by the glass, I make this one glass at a time. Many strawberry lemonade recipes call for pureeing the strawberries and while that results in a wonderful glass of lemonade and I’d do that myself if I was serving a crowd, I prefer to do this one quick and dirty with simply a fork and a glass. Plus, I kind of like the chunky, rustic thing going on when I make it this way.

Happy summer!

I don’t have lemon juice but I do have already made plain lemonade. can I use that instead?

Just add in some strawberries and you should be good to go 🙂

Made a double batch and this was perfect! Quick, and not too sweet. Replaced half the lemon juice with lime juice because I ran out.

The worst strawberry lemonade I’ve ever had; tried the recipe to a T three times and it never improved. Somehow a fresh glass of strawberry lemonade ended up 10 times worse than that of a supermarket. I have never tasted a worse drink and my wife nearly vomited. A failed recipe released for the sole purpose of profit; the 5 star review must be fake. Please don’t waste your time on this terrible recipe by Kitchen Treaty. Somehow they screw up every recipe.

I’m so sorry this recipe didn’t work for you, and I sure hope your wife is feeling better by now. I do love your show though!

this is a great recipe, way easier than the ones where you dissolve sugar on a stovetop it just seems too complicated, I used 1/4 cup + a lil more than half 1/4 because I like it really sour, also I used a separate bowl to mash to strawberries and then strain them into a cup, super easy 9/10 😀

This is my go to recipe! It’s a perfect balance between sour and sweet. Definitely wait to let the hot water cool down after adding the sugar or it will be watered down.
